Watersports can be so much more fun when there is a group of you – we offer guided group sessions that are just the perfect activity for a birthday party, a stag/hen do, work team building sessions, family fun days or you’re just looking for a fun time with friends. Brighton Watersports can put together the perfect package to suit your group, incorporating paddelboarding, open top kayaks, ringo rides and jumbo paddleboarding fun.

Ultimate Package

Enjoy an extremely fun complete watersports experience great for groups. This includes kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, jumbo standup paddle boarding and ringo rides.

Depending on the size of the group, half will be kayaking and/or giving paddleboarding a go either on single paddleboards or on our super fun jumbo paddleboard, while the other half are on the boat having a go on the ringos behind our purpose build powerboat.

This is the full Monty of what we have to offer. Spend some time learning some skills on boats and on boards with some extra spice, in the shape of the power boat. We have Ringo’s Wake boards and Waterski.

Perhaps the salt and currents doesn’t tickle your fancy, perhaps floating and boating is more your flavor. We can plan and guide a route down the Adur river to take your group on an excursion in kayaks, paddleboards or open canoes.

Onsite facilities

Our beachfront shop is stocked full of watersports equipment and accessories. We also have changing rooms, secure lockers and showers plus toilet facilities.

All Brighton Watersports staff are fully trained and carry all required qualifications for providing watersport activities and tuition to the highest standard.

As an alternative to our Brighton beach location we'd like to welcome you to our new 2nd location at Piddinghoe lake - situated between Newhaven and Lewis, just off A259 from Newhaven. This is a private inland watersports location available for pre-booked group and family activities as well as training courses, corporate events, educational excursions and watersports tuition.

Brighton Watersports' activities at Piddinghoe lake are brought to you in association with the Newhaven and Seaford Sailing Club (NSSC). The location has full changing rooms, showers, toilets, picnic tables and free parking.

About Piddinghoe Lake

Piddinghoe lake or 'pond' as it is sometimes referred to, started life as a quarry in the late 1800's. By the mid 1950's excavation had stopped and the pit had become a lake. Not long after, it was acquired by the Newhaven & Seaford Sailing Club who still own it today. Piddinghoe lake is a protected, privately owned, beauty spot in a secluded area.

At Piddinghoe we have secure changing rooms, showers, toilets, kitchen facilities, tuition classroom as well as free parking, BBQ facilities and comfortable outdoor seating and picnic area.

Brighton Watersports activities at the lake range from group SUP hire, open and closed kayak hire, canoe hire and jumbo-sized SUP's. We also offer qualified instruction and private tuition as well as activities for educational groups, families and corporate events. Please note that all activities at the lake must be pre-booked. Get outdoors for your work or team building event.

It is our goal to provide the session you desire; from the wacky wet and wild water games, to a casual cruise to keep calm, we can cater for you. Situated on Brighton Beach front, we have the luxury of the picturesque iconic piers which frame our paddling playground. Watersports in the face of Brighton will create an experience, and an event to remember. Our Wet Arch holds a large fleet of kayaks, paddleboards and our Jumbo 8 man SUP for novelty fun. We can provide a bespoke watersports experience for you company.

Our experienced, trained instructors are fully inclusive and flexible. We will do all we can to ensure everyone can have a comfortable, safe ride. We provide all you need to get on the water; Wetsuits and Buoyancy Aids, paddles, boats and boards. We have storage for your goods, lovely warm showers and being situated on the beachfront, we are surrounded by fine foods and drinks for post session après paddle fun. But don’t forget to bring a towel.

We cater for school trips, activities and courses for young people

Here at Brighton Watersports, we are passionate about getting people outdoors and getting people on the sea. We have recently acquired our AALA license, which has now enabled us to provide to the most important audience; the little ones.

We feel that knowledge of the sea and its mystical ways should be celebrated and understood by all ages. The sessions we can take for younger participants can provide some super fun skills and a knowledge of the sea that will last a lifetime.

Our super skilled instructors are well aware of the increasing need for eco-literacy and will include the environmental factors that are at play, right on our coast. From jellyfish to dolphins, there’s a chance to see them all.
