Our clients bought this Edwardian central Brighton property in a truly terrible state, untouched for the best part 40 years, giving us and the design team a blank canvas. We stripped everything back to the bare bones then added wood fibre breathability insulation wherever possible, a rear extension, loft extension and total refurbishment. From top to bottom, this carefully considered home has been crafted to our client and their family's needs.
The kitchen at the rear of the property is a modern, contemporary space with large, low-profile sliding doors and a structural glass window seat. Other rooms are very traditional with tall period skirtings and ornate cornices.
On the first floor, there is a principal bedroom with a walk-through wardrobe leading to an ensuite. On the same floor, there are the children's bedrooms, which are fun and warm spaces. Then it's up to the loft, which has an ensuite bedroom and a chic home office.
