Build My Home has emerged victorious, clinching the coveted House Builder Award at the esteemed 2023 Master Builder Awards hosted by the Federation of Master Builders (FMB). The accolade recognizes the company’s outstanding achievements in the construction sector, emphasizing its dedication to quality craftsmanship, innovation, and client satisfaction. The Master Builder Awards are a testament to Build My Home’s position as a leader in the industry, showcasing their expertise and setting a high standard for the construction community.
The development, called The Green House, navigated restrictive planning rules by excavating the plot and adding a second storey below ground in reinforced concrete. The builders also preserved an ancient, listed boundary wall, along with two protected elm trees.
Floor to ceiling windows and glass partitions feed both floors of the home with natural light, contemporary design lends the property a cutting-edge look, and a living roof aids biodiversity, conserves energy, cleans the air and blends the building into its garden surroundings.
The homeowner said: "We knew this was the company we wanted to work with to build our ‘Grand Design’ home’ from our first meeting."
FMB judges described the project as "an outstanding example of what can be achieved in a challenging plot."
Michael Ford, managing director of Build My Home Ltd, said: "It's a lovely accolade. You don't get many pats on the back in this industry... we've been FMB members for ten years and it provides us with a real sense of community and achievement."
